    Creating Custom Made Usb Drives

Ever since USBs have become pretty much a necessity for everyone who owns a computer these days, many people have been wanting to spruce up their thumb drives. Now there are actually stores or people who would create custom made usb drives for these type of people. Now with a few materials at home and some effort, it is actually possible to save a lot of money and create custom thumb drives right at home.

The very first thing that one would do would be to of course get a thumb drive and take off its existing outer cover. This is an imperative step in the process because one cannot create another outer cover if there already is in. Now when doing this, one has to be extremely careful as not to damage to inside.

Of course it is suggested that one would use a screwdriver for this job because it will help protect the inside. Now the screwdriver will be able to help in a sense that it will easily crack open the case. It is more efficient than just using bare hands because if one will use his bare hands, then he may use too much force and damage the inside.

Now after one has already done this, then the next thing to do would be to think of a new outer covering. Now this is where one can get a little bit artistic. He can actually decide on whatever he would want as an outer covering as the material will not really matter.

Some things that most people would use would be plastic toys, some clay doh, or even lego bits. Of course one can actually get other things that he may use depending on his own artistic mood. Now once the outer covering has been gotten, the next part will be a little bit challenging.

In this step, one would have to get a drill because he will need to open up a hole if for example, his toy does not have a hole on top. Now he will be needing a lot of measurements like the width as well as the length. Once he has already drilled the hole, then all he has to do would be to put the usb in.

Finally, he then has to put some epoxy or some super glue around the hole so that the drive will not come out. Now this is one of the most important steps of them all because without it, the thumb drive may definitely fall out anytime. Once he has already applied the epoxy or glue, then he should dry it using a hair dryer or electric fan.

So as one can see, it is actually so easy to create a custom thumb drive. One can actually save a lot of money by doing this at home. No longer does he need to find a store that can do this for him. As long as he has a few materials at home and is willing to spare a little bit of time and effort to do this, then he can easily create a beautifully crafted custom thumb drive.
